COMMUNITY MEDIATION 

 

Community Mediation Volunteers are on call to participate in scheduled mediation sessions where they help facilitate communication and understanding between disputants toward a postiive resolution of their conflict. Click here for a full job description. 

 

Qualification: 40 Hour Mediation Certification, preferably through SEEDS or Community Boards

Preferred: Bi-linqual Spanish/English

Time Commitment: At least 1 year and 2 mediations/year

Status: Limited openings

CASE DEVELOPMENT

Case Development Volunteers use effective listening skills to speak with and educate potential clients, assess appropriateness for mediation, and set up mediations with multiple parties. Click here for a full job description. 

 

Qualification: Interest in conflict resolution, strong listening and organizational skills

Preferred: Bi-linqual Spanish/English

Time Commitment: At least 6 months, 3 hours one day a week.

FACILITATION

 

Our Facilitation Panel assists trainings and workshops for small groups and organizations. Facilitators enable groups and organizations to work more effectively by bringing structure to the process, encouraging collaboration, full participation, and mutual understanding. Click here for a full job description. 

 

Qualification: Experience in faciliation or 2 years as a SEEDS mediator

Preferred: Bilingual Spanish/English

TRAINING

 

Volunteer Coaches teach conflict resolution skills to others in the community through SEEDS workshops and trainings. Coaches must be proficient in SEEDS' facilitative community mediation model. Click here for a full job description.
