Professional Development Workshop Series

Training, development and education are important to an individual’s growth and an organization’s success. SEEDS professional trainings, developed in partnership with our workplace clients, are proven to increase performance and productivity. We are pleased to offer these professional development workshops to the public on our most frequently requested topics.

Giving and Receiving Feedback

Giving and Receiving Feedback effectively is an important skill for any leader or manager. Frequent and clear feedback increases productivity and team harmony.  In this workshop, we offer strategies and tips for giving ongoing feedback, as well as for making annual reviews more comprehensive. It is equally important to know how to receive feedback, and we provide tips to incorporate feedback into improved performance.

Feedback is a two-way street. You need to know how to give it effectively and at the same time model how to receive it constructively. How can you take the sting out of feedback, and use it grow and get closer to achieving your full potential?

Constructive criticism is an important ingredient for personal and professional development and for strengthening relationships. Whether it’s from your boss, a mentor, an executive coach, a colleague, or even from anonymous surveys, being receptive to feedback is essential.

SEEDS training incorporates many of our effective communication tools in the context of giving and receiving feedback.

We explore the following:

  • Receiving Feedback Effectively-  This module reviews tips and techniques for embracing and learning from feedback

  • Three types of feedback – review three varieties of feedback and learn how to ask for what you want

  • Giving feedback Effectively – This module reviews tips and techniques for giving feedback in ways people can take in and hear

  • Impact Statements and Empathy-  How to talk so people can hear you

  • Reflective Listening – How to listen so that people will trust you and take in your suggestions
