Facilitation
Facilitation can help with…
- Newly formed teams & partnerships
- Complex, multi-party, multi-issue disputes
- Group, board, or organizational strategy sessions & retreats
- Community forums and town hall meetings
- And MORE!
Whether it’s a corporate retreat, a department upheaval, or a community dispute, sometimes you need help to keep that important meeting on track. SEEDS can custom design a process to help your group, organization, or community work more collaboratively and reach your goals.
What Is Facilitation?
Facilitation is a way to help a group accomplish its goals. A facilitator trained in group dynamics helps participants understand their common objectives, and guides them in formulating a plan to achieve them, without having a position on the issues under discussion or an emotional stake in the outcome. The facilitator also helps the group to achieve consensus on disagreements.
SEEDS’ facilitation services are
- Productive: Achieve goals while building and balancing relationships in your group.
- Participatory: More people involved – More voices heard – More effective outcomes.
- Flexible: We use a variety of strategies and styles to accommodate the needs of your group.
- Cost Effective: Our sliding scale is priced to fit a wide range of organizational and community budgets.
Find Your Services
SEEDS offers different types of facilitation services for different situations.
- For individuals: Some multi-party issues require a more tailored approach than the SEEDS community mediation process. If you are part of a group or community (church, sports club, neighborhood association, school) that needs some help to improve communication, overcome problems and find a path to making good decisions, SEEDS’ facilitation services may be right for you.
- For organizations (both nonprofit agencies and for-profit businesses), we can help facilitate communication both within the organization, and between the organization and other parties. Facilitation services are appropriate for everything from retreats and group meetings, to board/staff conflicts and community forums.
- For public agencies, besides providing similar facilitation services for meetings and strategy sessions within the organization, we help to increase productive engagement in the decision-making process by facilitating various types of community meetings.
